Blasting to start Tuesday at Missouri Blvd./Mo. 179

Emery Sapp and Sons Inc., a contractor for Missouri Department of Transportation, will conduct blasting operations at the Missouri Boulevard/Missouri 179 interchange on Tuesday and Wednesday, weather permitting.

The blasting is part of the work to construct connector roads on the west side of the interchange.

Motorists on U.S. 50, 179, and Missouri Boulevard will be required to stop for short periods of time during the work, which will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The work is a part of planned improvements to the 50, Missouri Boulevard and 179 interchange in western Jefferson City.
