Deputies' vehicles in 7 accidents since June

Officer: More training being sought

Cole County Sheriff's Department vehicles have been involved in seven accidents since June, county commissioners said Tuesday morning.

Commissioners said they would like to have more immediate information on when accidents occur, and noted other county government departments have been quicker to inform the commission when county-owned vehicles have been involved in accidents.

Hill added: "I've talked to my guys about what's happened, and we are going to be getting more training."
