2011 Lighting Contest

Preliminary competition will be by city wards, choosing the first and second place in each of the above categories. The first place winners in each ward will then be judged for the Mayor’s Award. Preliminary judging will be done December 13, 14, 15 and from 6 -10 p.m. Winners will be announced in the Sunday, December 18 News Tribune. Final judging will be Monday, December 19 with the winners announced in the Sunday, December 25 newspaper.

Neighborhood Improvement Program ordinance

According to this draft of a Jefferson City ordinance, petitions for neighborhood improvement projects will have to be submitted by July 1 of each year to be considered in the following year’s budget. If the project is not funded in that budget, it will be considered denied.
