Businesses help raise funds for Samaritan Center

A number of area businesses are offering discounts and other offers for patrons who donate to the Samaritan Center; others are simply donating a portion of their proceeds to the center.

Marylyn DeFeo, volunteer executive director of the Samaritan Center said that there is a great need for all things this holiday season.

"We need donations of any kind of nutritious high protein food," DeFeo said. The center is currently trying to meet the food needs of 100 families a day.
