Lincoln lands 11 on All-GLFC team

The Lincoln Blue Tigers had 11 players named to the Great Lakes Football All-Conference team on Monday.

O'Hara Fluellen landed himself on the first team defense and was named the Defensive Back of the Year. The 6-foot, 190-pound freshman had 34.5 tackles (31 solo), three tackles for loss, six pass breakups and one forced fumble. Fluellen also was named to the secondteam Return Specialist squad.

Joining Fluellen on the first team were offensive lineman Allen Grant and linebacker Devin Mack. Grant, a sophomore, helped the Blue Tigers rack up 1,361 rushing yards, while Mack led the team in tackles with 54.4 (43 solo).

Lincoln, which finished the season 0-11, had six players named to the second team - four on defense.

Freshman running back Andre Young and sophomore offensive lineman Lamont Brown made the offense's second team. The four players named to the second-team defense were: defensive lineman Kayode Dawatola; defensive lineman Carlie Williams; linebacker Clourse Hardy; and defensive back Demarkis Smith.

Josh Goffigan landed on the Honorable Mention team for quarterback and wide receiver, along with defensive back Ammar Dyson.


Missouri S&T tight end Bryan Crider was named to the second team of the Great Lakes All-Conference team.

Crider, a senior and graduate of Helias High School, led the Miners with 57 receptions for 604 yards and four touchdowns. He set the school's career reception record for a tight end at 142.

Lady Falcons win

HALLSVILLE - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons eighthgrade team opened up the Harrisburg Tournament with a 40-27 win over Tipton on Monday.

Logan Bax poured in 16 points for the winners, while teammate Logan Gratz chipped in with 15.

Blair Oaks (4-2) will continue the tournament Wednesday at Harrsiburg.
