An orchestra will join the traditional choir at this year's Community Thanksgiving Service at 4 p.m. Nov. 22, which will be held at First Baptist Church, 301 E. Capitol Ave.

"The music selected for the choir, orchestra and congregation for this service was chosen with the hope that it would reach across denominational lines to bring something familiar to the worship service for each faith tradition represented," said Rod Maples, pastor of worship at First Baptist.

Those who wish to participate in the choir or orchestra should contact Maples at (573) 634-3603 or Rod@FBCJC.ORG.

A choir practice will be held at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 22 and members are asked to wear black and white. Orchestra members must be in the seventh grade or older.
