California wins district volleyball title

COLE CAMP, Mo. -- The California Lady Pintos advanced to the Class 2 state volleyball playoffs by winning the District 13 Tournament title Tuesday night.

The Lady Pintos, the No. 2 seed, defeated top-seeded Stover in two games to advance to Saturday's sectional round at Lexington High School. California (20-10-3) will face the District 14 champion at 4:30 p.m. and with a win, advance to the quarterfinals around 6 p.m.
