U.S. Rep. Skelton remarries Saturday in KC

U.S. Rep. Ike Skelton and Patty Martin were married Saturday in Kansas City.

U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Kansas City, an ordained minister, and the Rev. Ron Page -- now of Lake Ozark but formerly of Lexington -- performed the ceremony, which was attended only by members of the couples' families.

After a honeymoon at the Lake of the Ozarks, the couple will reside in Lexington, where both have lived for years.

It's the second marriage for both; their first marriages ended with the deaths of their first spouses.

Skelton, D-Lexington, has been in Congress since 1977.
