Leadership class honors graduates

The Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce honored graduates of its Leadership Jefferson City program with a ceremony Thursday.

The class started its 21st year on Jan. 3, and is designed to identify and motivate emerging leaders, and to develop their potential for community leadership roles by exposing them to the opportunities, realities and challenges of the community.

The topics of 11 sessions included team building, diversity, the history of Jefferson City, health care, social services, state government, education, local government, technology, volunteerism, economics, agriculture, media, and arts and recreation.

Members of the 2008 class are: Leigh Ann Autenrieth, Hawthorn Bank; Brandi Bax, Merrell University of Beauty Arts and Science; Amy Berendzen, Capital Region Medical Center; Michael Bollinger, City of Jefferson-Parks and Recreation and Forestry Dept.; Amy Coffey, Premier Bank; Stephanie Cox, Independent Living Resource Center, Inc.; Anne Curchin, Missouri Hospital Association; Ryan Freeman, Freeman Mortuary; Heath Garvin, Scholastic Inc.; Deric Heislen, Jefferson City Police Department; and Kitrina Hoelscher, Jefferson Bank;

Shelle Jacobs, Linn State Technical College; Eric Jaegers, Jefferson City Area YMCA; Joan Kramer, Taco Bell/KFC Border Enterprises Inc.; Stacy Laubert, AmerenUE; Suzanne Luther, Roseheart Center; Jeff Martin, Learfield Communications Inc.; Travis Massman, Regions Bank; Valerie Moersch, Missouri River Regional Library; Jeffrey Naught, Naught-Naught Insurance Agency; Germaine Renn, EMBARQ; Shaun Sappenfield, Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce; Stephanie Scruggs, Scruggs Lumber Company; Tom Storms and Sarah Stroesser, Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau; Kyle Trimble, Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home; Benecia Williams, Lincoln University; Andrea Wyatt, St. Mary's Health Center; Kathy Young, Central Bank; and Judy Zemke, Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG).
