And Tony Wheatley, captain of the Mid-Missouri Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force said the investigation is not over yet.
“Once we got the information, we started working on it and it kept rolling over three days,” he said. “It's not over yet, and this thing spreads through several counties.”
According to the task force, the first incident occurred when officers seized an abandoned methamphetamine lab in a section of wooded area in Moniteau County near the Miller County line. The investigation is ongoing.
A second investigation resulted in the arrest of two Cole County residents in Lake Ozark, one male and one female, after the task force assisted the Lake Ozark Police Department in seizing a red phosphorous lab in a vehicle.
Officers said a minor child was taken into protective custody at the time of the arrests. Charges of manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of methamphetamines and child endangerment are expected.
A third investigation netted marijuana, scales and drug paraphernalia taken from a residence near Kaiser. According to officers, an undercover operation led to the search and seizure after an undercover officer purchased marijuana from a suspect at the residence.
Two females and one male were arrested for possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Formal charges are pending.
The fourth investigation, in Osage Beach, resulted in the search of a residence where officers located a partial red phosphorus methamphetamine lab, along with methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.
Two suspects were taken into custody at the scene and are awaiting formal charges of attempted manufacturing of methamphetamines, possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia.
