The Crusaders won the eight-team large school division with a 315 total, while the Jefferson City Jays were second at 334.
“We actually didn't play our best and still won by 19 shots, that's making me feel better all the time,” said Helias coach Dan Roling.
One player who did play his best was Moody, who put together nines of 35-34. The senior, who signed last week with Missouri, had six birdies and three bogeys in his round.
Moody won medalist honors by a whopping nine shots.
Also for the Crusaders, Alex Knoll and Forrest McCurren both shot 81, and Eric Kosmatka chipped in an 84.
The Jays were paced by Will Nixon's 78, which was good enough for second place individually. Also for the Jays, Keegan McHenry and Lucas Carlson both turned in 83, and Spencer Overfelt had a 90.
Rounding out the large-school field were: Rock Bridge (336), Rockhurst (339), Hickman (345), Sedalia (361), the Helias JV (365) and Marshall 408.
Both the Jays Crusaders will take part in the Osage National Classic at the Lake of the Ozarks at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Belle edged Southern Boone 353-354 to win the small-school title. Other teams competing were: Hermann (359), Fatima (393), Linn (405), Montgomery County (416), Harrisburg (418) and New Bloomfield (462).
Southern Boone's Cody Hackman shot an 82 to win the division's medalist honors.
