Three injured in one-car accident

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 KIA Sportage, driven eastbound by Cori A. Basham, 21, Belle, traveled off the left side of the road when the driver apparently fell asleep. The driver overcorrected several times and the vehicle then went off the right side of the road, striking an embankment and overturning.
Basham was taken to 1-70 Medical Center in Sweet Springs. Two passengers, Amie L. Harris, 23, Vichy, and Meagan M. Sooter, 21, Bland, were taken to the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital. No condition reports were available.
Basham and Sooter were wearing seat belts. Harris was not wearing a seat belt.
Basham was cited for careless and imprudent driving.

€ Two Jefferson City residents were injured in a one-car accident at 2:37 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 63, north of Route M, in Boone County.
The patrol reported a 2003 Chevrolet, driven northbound by James C. Herman, 71, Jefferson City, attempted to change lanes, swerved to avoid a vehicle and went off the right side of the road, overturning multiple times.
Herman and a passenger, Nelda Aegerter-Herman, 77, Jefferson City, were taken to the University of Missouri Columbia Hospital. No condition reports were available.
Both were wearing seat belts.
€ A Gravois Mills man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 6:15 p.m. Saturday on Route O, at Old 8, in Morgan County.
According to the patrol report, a 2006 Yamaha Roadstar, driven westbound by Eddie D. Sewell, 46, Gravois Mills, went off the right side of the road and onto its side, striking a traffic sign.
Sewell was taken to Lake Regional Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.
He was wearing a seat belt.
€ Two teens were injured in a one-car accident at 1:05 p.m. Sunday on Bahner Quarry Road, south of Tipton, in Moniteau County.
According to the patrol report, a 2003 Ford, driven southbound by Nika M. Mullins, 16, Syracuse, ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Mullins and a passenger, Kasandra L. Nicks, 16, Tipton, were taken to St. Mary's Health Center. No condition reports were available.
It is not known if either were wearing seat belts.
