Week of the Young Child parade planned

The Week of the Young Child children's parade, sponsored by the Association for the Education of Young Children, begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's parking lot in Jefferson City.

Groups in the parade should form beginning at 8:30 a.m.

There is no entry fee but donations are accepted. Space is limited.

To enter your organization or center contact AEYC-Community Coordinator, Peggy Thoenen, 635-5241 or pithoenen@mchsi.com; Avila Hendricks at Lincoln University or Leigh Patterson at 893-3242.

After the parade there will be a sing-a-long on the south lawn of the Capitol.
