Blair Oaks owns state's second-longest winning streak

The Falcons were tied for second with Mansfield at 30 straight wins after beating New Bloomfield 6-1 last Thursday. Blair Oaks is now alone in second place and trails only Helias' state record of 56 straight wins set from 1987-89.
Andrew Pointer and Justin Kelly combined on a no-hitter to key the Blair Oaks' win.
Pointer went 5 2/3 innings to notch the victory, allowing one unearned run. He struck out seven and walked five. Kelly pitched the final 1 1/3 innings, striking out four and walking one.
Pointer also had two hits and two RBI for the Falcons, who play at Van-Far on Tuesday. Taylor Castillo had two hits and scored three runs, and Kyle Henke chipped in two hits.
