Blues get Toivonen from Bruins

Toivonen, 23, was Boston's first-round pick (29th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent the past four seasons splitting time between Boston and the Bruins' American Hockey League team in Providence.
In 18 NHL games last season, Toivonen was 3-9-1 with a 4.23 goals-against average. At Providence, he was 13-13-1 with a .909 save percentage and a 2.37 goals-against average.
“Hannu is a former first-round draft choice who gives our club depth in the goaltending position,” Blues president John Davidson said. “Our scouts feel he has tremendous upside and a bright future in the National Hockey League.”
Soderberg, a 21-year-old center, is a native of Malmo, Sweden. He was picked by the Blues in the second round (49th overall) in the 2004 draft. he has not played in the NHL.
