CMVBC hosting tourney

The Central Missouri Volleyball Club (CMVBC) will be hosting the Capital Blast Tournament this weekend at several sites around Jefferson City.

The tournament, which has been going on for more than 15 years, will feature 70 teams from across the state as well as Quincy, Ill. Teams, ranging in age from 11-18, will compete in pool play before advancing to a seeded tournament based on their records.

Saturday's games will be played at Trinity Lutheran, Helias and Blair Oaks. Sunday's games will be held at Helias, Lewis and Clark Middle School, Blair Oaks and St. Peters.

Games will begin at 8 a.m. and will conclude around 6 p.m. There is no admission fee.
