SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- A Joplin man convicted of helping kill a pregnant woman, her three children and the full-term fetus she carried for a promised payoff of $250 in methamphetamine is seeking a new trial.
The Missouri Court of Appeals' Southern District heard arguments Tuesday on whether to reverse Harold Lingle's five convictions for first-degree murder.
Lingle is serving five life sentences for the January 1999 killings of Erin Vanderhoef, her three children and her unborn baby.
